Becoming a Hispanic-Serving Institution

This fall, former assistant admissions director Teresita Curiel was appointed interim assistant director of Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) initiatives, a new position. She will help the University achieve eligibility for U.S. Department of Education grants under Title III and Title IV. Here, she shares what the HSI designation means for campus and how faculty and staff can support our efforts in this area.
