Academic Qualifications

Freshmen:

  • Completion of a university-preparatory secondary/high school program with a 3.0 (B in the U.S. system) or "Very Good" average
  • Three years of university-preparatory mathematics courses including beginning algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra. All must have passing grades (C- or better, or the equivalent)
  • The SAT test is not required for admission except for freshman with 3 or more years of high school study in the U.S.
  • Must have English Proficiency

Lower Division or Upper Division transfer students from outside the U.S.:

  • Completion of a university-preparatory secondary/high school program with a 3.0 (B in the U.S. system) or "Very Good" average
  • Three years of university-preparatory mathematics courses including beginning algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra. All must have passing grades (C- or better, or the equivalent)
  • 2.40 or B-/C+ ("very good"/"good") average or the equivalent on all college/university courses completed.
  • Must have English Proficiency

Upper division transfers from a U.S. school:

  • A 2.40 grade point average
  • Completion of General Education Area A requirements with grades of C- or better: A1 Oral Communication; A2 Written Communication; A3 Critical Thinking; and A4 Mathematics.   • Completion of at least 60 transferable-level semester units
  • Proof of high school graduation is not required.

Documentation Requirements:

Academic documents required in support of an application are official transcripts, mark sheets, certificates, and/or examination results. Each document recorded in a language other than English must be accompanied by an original, certified translation.
