Chinese Professor: Yaohua Luo

Professor Yaohua Luo received his Ph.D degree in Language and Applied Linguists from Huazhong Normal University, China. Since then, he has published over 30 articles and has taught course in Modern Chinese, Sociolinguists, Applied Linguists, and Psycolinguists.
Professor Luo became the perfect candidate for a teaching opportunity in CSU Chico after he heard that there was an exchange program between Huazhong Normal University and Chico State. Professor Luo stated that he is having wonderful experiences in Chico. "Besides being a great place to study, Chico is also a great place to live. It is located in beautiful northern California away from the congestion and problems of larger cities." As for the teaching, he enjoys that all of his students "are diligent, hard working, besides, make great progress in studying Chinese." In addition he was also pleased that most of the student excelled in his class. "It makes me feel successful."
