Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI)
Project Description
CSU, Chico will continue its ongoing commitment to provide access to information resources and technologies to individuals with disabilities. As part of the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) work plan from the Chancellor's Office, Chico representatives will participate in campus and system committees to develop guidelines, implementation strategies, tools, and resources. This initiative is detailed in the coded memorandum AA-2007-04 (PDF) titled "Access to Electronic and Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities."
Successful implementation of the ATI at CSU, Chico will require campus wide participation. The process has to be inclusive as it requires individual action by hundreds of faculty and staff. Oversight for ATI implementation will be the responsibility of the ATI Steering Committee whose primary task is to assure the Priority Teams have the support and resources they need to accomplish their tasks. There are three Priority Teams which represent the three ATI priorities:
- Web Accessibility
- Instructional Materials Accessibility
- Accessible Electronic and Information Technology Procurement
