Blackboard Vista Faculty Self-Service Project

In the course of supporting faculty in their use of the learning management system, there are many; requests that come into the Distributed Learning work queue.

To accommodate the needs of faculty in a timely manner, and to free up Distributed Learning staff to make progress on other projects, Chico is creating a web-based self-service application for faculty and support staff to use to handle these requests. Some of the types of requests we will work to automate include:

• Hide/unhide sections
• Reset sections
• Cross/Uncrosslist
• Copy content
• Add guest designers
• Set custom student load dates
• Add/remove community members
• Create/delete prep area section
• Backup/restore section
