International Student Advising

International Student Advisors, Cindy Phelps and James Luyirika-Sewagudde, Jr., welcome and provide assistance to all new and continuing international students at California State University, Chico. Currently there are just over 400 students from almost 50 countries at the University.

Cindy and James can offer guidance and support in the following areas:

• Your personal welfare, orientation, and adjustment to Chico
• Language and cultural questions
• Registering for courses and academic concerns
• Financial concerns
• Employment on or off campus
• Transferring to other universities
• Verification of your enrollment status at CSU, Chico
• Contacts with your Embassy, Consulate, your sponsors, or family
• Immigration regulations and procedures
• Referrals to various offices, individuals, departments, and agencies

They are here to give you assistance whenever possible. Please come to Student Services Center 440 to make an appointment to meet with either one of them.
