Internet Access

It is strongly recommended that you set up Internet access from your off-campus computer. Internet access will enable you to use e-mail, do research on the web, access library electronic resources, and participate in the online activities required for many courses. There are a number of ways to set up Internet access from your off-campus computer:

High Speed Access

• ResNet
  If you will be staying in the residence halls or other off-campus housing with ResNet connectivity, you will have high speed (max. 10 MB/sec) Internet access.
• On-campus Wireless
  If you own a laptop, you can access the Wildcat Wireless service free of charge when you are on campus. For instructions, see our wireless instructions page.

VPN (Virtual Private Network) Connection

The campus network is protected by a network firewall. In order to access many campus resources from off-campus, you'll need to make a secure connection using Cisco VPN software. Go to the Computing and User Support website for more information.
