Trainings & Workshops

Open Workshops

IT Support Services and Information Resources offer free workshops to students. These workshops are intended to provide the basic skills to effectively use computer workstations in the library, in campus computer labs, and from home via remote access. Registration is required and classes may fill up, especially early in the semester.  Click on the following link to sign up.

At the beginning of each semester the Meriam Library Instruction Program offers various research instruction classes to students covering topics such as introduction to the Library ReSEARCH Station, accessing full-text electronic journals and doing research on the World Wide Web.

For help with library research, please see the complete schedule of upcoming library workshops and tours.

Private Workshops for Academic Courses

In addition to the free workshops, IT Support Services offers curriculum related computer workshops for private classes on faculty request. The curriculum related computer workshops are tailored to specific class assignments within the parameters of the basic skills taught in the drop-in workshops. For more information or to arrange a private curriculum related workshop for your classes, contact IT Support Services at thma131lab@csuchico.edu.
