We are a fellowship of people from a diversity of backgrounds
both culturally and spiritually who come together out of
our common love for Jesus. We are passionate about prayer,
studying scripture, justice, and racial reconciliation.
Whether you have been a follower of Jesus for many years
or are simply interested in exploring the Christian faith
we welcome you.
But
don't just read about us, the best way to get to know us
is to come to our large group for a time
of musical worship, prayer and biblical teaching that is
relevant to our lives as college students. Also consider
becoming part of a small group in your
resident hall or one near by where you can get to know people
more intimately and take time to look at passages from the
Bible and discuss their original meaning and their relevance
for us today. Finally, we hold various conferences
off-campus every semester.
Be
sure to learn more about each part of CSU Chico InterVarsity
by following the links below:
Large
Group - Everyone meets weekly for a night of worship
through music, drama, teaching and prayer.
Small
Group - Bible studies are hosted all over campus
and off campus. Almost all the resident halls have their own
small group. All are welcome!
Conferences
- We usually have about four conferences every year, including
one every semester. They are incredible amounts of fun, just
ask anyone in IV.
Leader's
Team
- This group of folks makes the fellowship happen. They lead
small groups, facilitate and plan our large group meetings,
and do so much more. This is a team committed to serving,
loving the campus, and being developed as leaders who follow
Jesus. Ask the staff if you would like to learn more about
how you can be part of this team.
Summer
Mission Opportunities
– One of the best things that InterVarsity has to offer!
These are life shaping experiences were you will be able to
learn more about God’s heart for the world. Our Chico
chapter will be sending students on a six-week overseas project
and to the ten-day Oakland Urban plunge for the summer of
’06. Talk to the staff for more information. Check out
the Global
Urban Trek and Global
Projects.
