What is Prayer?

Prayer is a way that we stay in loving relationship with God and with others. As a community we value being others-oriented, and being real with each other. In prayer we can look out at the campus, gaining new eyes to see the value of the people around us. At the same time, we can care for each other by praying through whatever thing it is that seems heavy to us, because we are growing to understand how the Lord calls us to trust in moments of fear, and that the Lord's heart is always for wholeness and deep peace (Matthew 11:25-28, 2 Kings 6:14-23, Mark 2:1-12, Jeremiah 17:5-8, Colossians 1:9-14).

"30'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:30-31
