The seclusion is the most apparent
and Due to the distance from the other holes, Brown's Hole remains a treasured secret to many who are savvy to its offerings. The large lava rocks stand dutifully by the side of the creek, enabling visitors to hop from the peaks into the refreshing water. A hidden underwater cave is know to only a select few who have passed the secret along to one another with each visit. A lucky visitor may have the secret passed on to them. The ancient lava "Sometimes we have seen people
swimming naked down in the canyon by Brown's Hole," said John Karnegis,
a Chico State University student. "We're just enjoying the great
outdoors, I'm having fun riding and they're having fun doing whatever." Any visitor brave enough to make the hike or bike should be aware that the trail is quite bumpy at times, but the view along the way is spectacular.
Also, there is no emergency phone this far into Upper Bidwell, so visitors intending to have an extreme park experience may want to bring a cellular phone in case of trouble. Anyone interested in visiting Brown's Hole should also bring water. Although the water seems to be tempting to drink, it is best to bring your own supply. Be prepared at this location. It may take the Fire Department Rescue Team at least an hour to reach Brown's Hole if you are hurt or in need of assistance. Otherwise, enjoy yourself.
Take a friend or two and see what kind of adventures you may be able to
find.
