Has "What did I do last night," run through your mind as fears of unprotected
sex take over your thoughts?
Sometimes people make mistakes and feel they have no way to fix what has
been done. And when faced with a pregnacy, the effects can de devastating.
But there are other options.
The Chico State University Student Health Center sees six to eight students
a day who request a pregnancy test, and about two a day asking for the
"morning after" pill. With numbers like these, the Student Health
Center is eager to educate students on forms of emergency contraceptives.
The Student Health Center offers three types of emergency contraception
Plan B, Nordette and the "morning after" pill.
"We believe it is extremely important for students to know that this
option exists," said Health Center Director Tom Beckman. "The use of emergency
contraception can go a long way to alleviate the worry and anxiety."
