Clear your mind.Relax.Let go of daily stresses.These seem like simple requests, but really, how would you do it?Your first idea might be to push all your books and assignments off your desk. Or you might consider taking a walk or bike ride in the park. Some may take a nap, watch a movie or turn the radio's volume up thundering loud.A common relief from daily stresses is some form of distraction - a movie, a nap. But how about closing your eyes and sitting for 20 minutes? How about meditating?Meditation is about relaxing every atom and cell in your body. It's about looking inward for distraction, not outward.It's about gaining deep relaxation, eliminating stress, promoting health, increasing creativity and intelligence and attaining inner happiness and fulfillment.Sounds like finding the fountain of youth, huh? It's almost unbelievable this sort of peace of mind exists.And it's at your fingertips. Or should I say your mind's eye. |
