LaSalles has a long tradition in Chico as being a rock-solid venue for its amazing live music, dance tunes and drink specials. For over 25 years, this club has impacted the downtown scene. 
 

    LaSalles was once primarily a restaurant, but evolved to accomodate a bar/club atmosphere. 
 

 "Our main competition in town is The Brick Works and Mr. Lucky, but they provide different things than we do," said general manager Jake Bellerjeau.  "The Brick Works is more about out-of-town acts and we focus on more local bands.  Mr. Lucky has more of a hard edge, and we focus on groups and music that will appeal to a wide spectrum of people."
 

    LaSalles has a variety of performers, but frequently hosts local acts such as Mystic Roots, Swamp Zen, Electric Circus and the Mother Hips.
 

    "We don't pigeonhole ourselves into one style of music," Bellerjeau said. 
 

    LaSalles definitely doesn't limit itself, as it offers something for everyone during the week.  Live music dominates Wednesdays and Fridays; DJs host the club Thursdays and Saturdays; and Karaoke rules the house Sundays.
