As the music world turns:
Music technology this decade

Technology can be a funny thing. First, there was the radio. Later came the record player followed by reel to reel. By the time Elvis was king, almost everybody had a cassette player. Introduced next and disappearing soon after in the 80s, was the eight-track player. By the mid 90s, nearly every American owned a compact disc player or car stereo. And most recently, the mini disc player joined the long list of music players. Just when the technology madness seemed to have gone as far as it could go, the MP3 player arrived to possibly overthrow the music industry and surpass the CD. By the year 2K there will be car stereos that will play MP3 computer discs, rather than CDs. Back to story
