K Δ Π - Alpha Nu Chapter Meeting Minutes

March 23rd, 2004

The Alpha Nu Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi met in BMU 211 at 5:00 P.M. on March 23rd for a member meeting. The meeting was called to order by the Newsletter Officer. The following officers were present as well as advisor Darryl Eisele:

ORDER OF BUSINESS

Call to Order: 5:00 P.M.
Old Business: * Education Fair recap: April 3rd, 10:00-3:00. It's a great way to "get your name out there" whether you're graduating and have a resume or if you're a few years a way. This is a fantastic way to ask questions and meet potential future employers!
* Initiation recap: Friday, March 26th, 6:00 PM, BMU 210. Both new and old members (plus family and friends of new initiates) are invited to attend. Please wear professional attire.
New Business: * Fundraisers: Possible future car wash and/or bake sale. Gina S to confirm.
* Spring Into Reading:
      - Have costume for Clifford the Big Red Dog as well as the Fire Pup.
      - No Scholastic Faire will be held, alternates are being discussed.
      - School flyers need to be packed and ready give to local school districts. If you'd like to help sort, contact Amanda S.
      - Perhaps THEA 124 classes will participate in Reader's Theatre?
      - We need member help! Volunteers for set-up, sign-in, refreshments, booths, reader's theatre, distribution of flyers, ... all are needed for Spring Into Reading!
* RIF Radio Advertising: Gina D has radio time to promote Spring Into Reading on Wednesdays from 10-12. Contact her if you'd like to be involved.
Announcements: * Zambia, Africa: Please click on this link for further information. A donation for much-needed supplies to send to these needy schools is being lead by Katrina Subh (530-674-8070, katrina_subh@hotmail.com).
