Rebecca Lytle, Kinesiology APE Program Coordinator

Dr. Rebecca Lytle is a full professor in the Department of Kinesiology.  She has been the coordinator of the Adapted Physical Activity Program for the past 15 years.  Currently she works with an awesome team of professionals to run and direct the many programs on campus for both students in training programs and community members who participate in programs for individuals with disabilities.  Dr. Lytle worked in the public schools for 10 years before earning her Ph.D.  Her area of expertise is in sensory and motor skills.  Her research has all focused on aspect of the collaborative teaming process for individuals with disabilities. 

She serves as part of the Transdisciplinary Diagnostic Team as a sensory and motor specialist.

Leesa Huang, Psychology

Leesa Huang is an associate professor and co-coordinator of the Pupil Personnel Services MA Credential program. She received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 2004. Dr. Huang practiced as a school psychologist for 5 years with an emphasis on preventive problem-solving consultation for teachers and parents and implemented systemic interventions for improving learning and behavior. Her research interests are assessment of low incidence disabilities and system-level interventions.

Leesa is a member of the CSU, Chico Transdisciplinary Autism Diagnostic team. She helps to conduct transdisciplinary autism assessments with children suspected of Autism Spectrum Disorders  for the Northern California region.

Susan Steffani, Communication Sciences and Disorders

Dr. Susan Steffani has been a professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders for 17 years.  She teaches in the areas of child language disorders, articulation and phonology, phonetics, diagnostic methods, and clinical methods. 

Susan is a member of the CSU, Chico Transdisciplinary Autism Diagnostic team. She holds the Certificate of Clinic Competence (CCC-SLP) and is trained in administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale.

Josie Blagrave, Autism Clinic Supervisor

Josie earned her Master's in Adapted Physical Activity from CSU, Chico. She has been working with children with autism for over 10 years. She started a grant funded program for teens with autism focusing on fitness and nutrition.

Josie is the Coordinator of the Chico State Autism Clinic.
