APE Summer Program Instructors
Heidi Erickson, InstructorHeidi is a part time instructor at CSU, Chico in the Kinesiology Department's Adapted Physical Activity program. She also is beginning her 11th year as an Adapted Physical Education Specialist with Butte County Office of Education. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Education. In her spare time she enjoys training for half marathons, hiking, biking, zumba dance, exercise, and volunteering in local community organizations. Heidi also enjoys attending and presenting at local, state, and national conferences. She is married to her high school sweetheart and is the mother of three grown children. Her passion continues to be educating pre-service and in-service general and special education teachers about inclusive physical education.

Marci Pope, InstructorMarci Pope is an instructor at CSU, Chico in the Adapted Physical Activity program. She has a graduate degree in adapted physical activity and is a credentialed Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education Specialist who taught in the public school system for 10 years. Presentations have included inclusive physical activities, consultation/collaboration, and activity modification strategies. Marci enjoys playing with children and collaborating with adults for inclusive physical activity settings.
