physical activity services for families in the area.
The Immersion Semester
Every other year we offer an Immersion Semester in Outdoor Education. This course is a combination of KINE 227, KINE 228 and KINE 470, creating a 16 unit semester opened only to a cadre of 12 students.
The semester is an intense practicum with approximately 60-70 days spent in remote wilderness environments. The course work also includes extensive classes in expedition planning and the logistics associated with conducted a field intensive course.
