Electronic Resource:

When an electronic resource is being considered for the library, we recommend, when possible, a preview form be submitted so the resource can be evaluated for content, software, and hardware compatibility, before purchase. If you are requesting an electronic format please forward as much information as possible including a brochure, if available, along with your request, to your Collection Development Librarian. Library personnel will complete the preview form as necessary.

Video Format:

Orders for videos over $300.00 must be previewed before purchase. To place an order after preview, fill out a Meriam Library request form and indicate that it has been previewed in the notes field of the request form.

Mintel Oxygen is a full-text database containing marketing reports US and International consumer marketing reports. Please note: you must create a personal (free) account before accessing the full-text reports. We will have trial access to this database through December 21, 2007.

IBISWorld is a full-text database containing marketing reports on over 700 United States industries.

MarketResearch.com Academic is a full-text database containing marketing reports on consumer products, service industries, food and beverage, heavy industry, life science, public sector, technology and media, and demographics. We will have trial access to this database through December 21, 2007.

Iter Bibliography is a database indexing literature pertaining to the Middle-Ages and the Renaissance. 1,617 journals dating as far back as 1784 are indexed, and monographic collections of essays are indexed as well. Our trial of Iter Bibliography includes full access to Iter Gateway, which hosts other bibliographies and online journals. We will have trial access to this database through December 31, 2007.

Aluka -- Aluka, an affiliate of JSTOR, is a not for profit collaboration of education and cultural institutions. The Aluka database contains primary source materials related to African cultural heritage sites and landscapes, African plants, and struggles for freedom in Southern Africa. We have trial access to this database through Dec. 31, 2007.
