001-Vendor Control number: This is the number assigned to the record by the supplier of the Authority Record. The majority of records in CLSI now are from UTLAS.
To search by this number, use the TAG search and type 001= 1 #######. That is, the tag number (001), equal sign, vendor code (1), space, and control number (usually 8 digit number)
