Uncataloged items will not be released from the Bibliographic Services Dept. except under extraordinary circumstances. If uncataloged items are released to a service point, a photocopy of the title page, cover, or container should be made for control purposes. The destination of the uncataloged item should be recorded on the print-out. The print-out will be held by the Supervisor of the the Bibliographic Services Dept. When the item is returned to the department, it should be given RUSH priority for cataloging.
Turnaround time for cataloging RUSH items will be 12-14 hours, depending upon the time of receipt of the RUSH item or special request for RUSH processing.
Other priority items will usually be separated from the normal monographic stack workflow, and will be given prompt treatment.
