Import Sources for Importing from OCLC to Horizon

All Collections

The following table includes all of the collections used by horizon.

Column two includes specific Import Source Codes that apply to some of the collections.
Column three includes either the "circ" or "circnon" import sources for some of the collections. 949 Subfields needed in addition to subfield b are listed where necessary.
Note that some collections (such as periodicals, or the microforms) require that you do not put a barcode in the 949 field.

All collections that use the same import source can be exported into one file and imported successfully. The only Import Source that can handle all types of collections is zOCLC. If you use this source, you must use all of the subfields necessary for item create (see 949 subfields for specifics)

Note: 949 fields are used only when exporting a record from OCLC. You cannot add a 949 in Horizon.
