From PACNET News Update January 1991:
"...if a member inputs a record and discovers it to be a duplicate, do not add a note to the 043 field, or any other field. Call the online Data Quality Control Section at (800) 848-5878 to report the duplicate, or report it through the normal proces [Error Reporting Procedures]. The staff will try to merge records that have been called in within two working days.
