Materials:
Theses will be cataloged by class numbers for each department. (For class numbers see Academic Units and Call Numbers.) A cutter number (cuttered to the author's name) will be added to the class number. The date of the thesis will be added as the last part of the call number.
Call numbers should be checked for duplicates in CLSI.
The department name as authoritized will be added to the local record in a 690 field (tag with 2nd indicator of 0). For authoritized department names see Master's Degrees and Academic Units and/or Old and New Academic Dept. Names.
Subject headings for each thesis will not be assigned.Selective subject analysis may be done if the thesis meets established criteria, i.e., have a local emphasis.
