WEEDING PROJECT PAPERWORK
- There is a bin on the Weeding Project Table labeled "Withdrawn File Printouts." If you do not wish to enter records on the withdrawn file, put printouts of deleted records in this bin. The record should show at least the title ID, Call Number, Author, Title, and year of publication. If you wish the printouts returned to you, put your name on them.
- Students or staff who wish, can then draw from these and enter them into the withdrawn file. If the printous indicate the person who wants them back, return them to that person, else put them in the pile of "completed printouts" (see below)
- IMPORTANT: WHEN YOU ENTER A WEEDING PROJECT RECORD INTO THE WITHDRAWN FILE, PUT "WP" AT THE END OF THE CALL NUMBER. This helps give us a count of weeding project discards, and a way to generate lists of weeding project discards.
- Also, remember to mark your printouts after each step has been accomplished:
- Items removed;
- Bib record deleted;
- OCLC holdings removed;
- Entered in Withdrawn File.
