Services Provided:
The Curriculum Collection is a resource for professors and students in the University's
teacher credential programs and for teachers and other adults working with
children in the University's twelve-county service area.
Employee Classification: 
Student Employee I & II
Number of Students Employed: 4 to 7
Description of Duties: Shelve books, shelf-read for placement accuracy,
inventory kits, assist with processing /cataloging such as stamping, labeling,
taping, and typing; compile special topics bibliographies, answer phones, direct
patrons to materials, and basic computer input.
Experience Required: No prior experience required at
this level however some work experience is preferred.
Student Employee II
Number of Students Employed: 1
Description of Duties: Schedule and provide Curriculum tours for small
groups, develop and maintain Curriculum vertical file of pictures and pamphlets,
order, process, and weed vertical files, prepare state adopted materials for
cataloging, order supplies, tally monthly statistics, design Curriculum documents,
and maintain special collections within the Curriculum collection.
Experience Required: Students at this level are promoted
from within and have spent a significant amount of time working
in Curriculum. Students must be able to relate well to faculty
and patrons, and possess computer skills.
Work Hours:
Student Employees work a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Regular Curriculum student work hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday
through Friday. |
