Student Personnel
* Hiring Process *
To secure a position within the Meriam Library, there are several steps you need to take. The following steps must be completed in the correct order before you are considered for employment:

1. Pick up a Student Employment Application Packet at the first floor Circulation counter in Meriam Library. The packet will contain:
* • The MLIB Student Employee Information Sheet.
* • An Application form.
• A Minimum Unit Work Study Requirements.
• Certification Form.
• A student Schedule Card

*2. Read the Meriam Library Student Employee Information Sheet to assist you in determining if library work is suitable for you.

3. Complete both sides of the MLIB Student Employee Application form.

4. Read and sign the Minimum Unit Requirement form, and also the Work Study Requirement form if you are applying for a Work Study position.

5. Complete the Student Schedule card to the best of your ability. Note the hours that you will be in class as "C" and any other obligations such as religious obligations, internships, etc. as "O."

6. Make a photocopy of your Financial Aid Computation Sheet. (It must show your work study allocation and accompany your application of you are a work study applicant.) Return the completed package to the Circulation counter. Be sure that all required materials as needed above are attached to the application. Applicants will be contacted by a library unit supervisor for job interviews as needs arise.
