Peer Advisors in Liberal Studies (PALS)
Samantha Brasil is a junior majoring in Liberal Studies with an option in Mathematics and a Child Development minor. She was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Samantha is an active member of Alpha Delta Pi. She is excited to be a part of PALS and looks forward to helping her peers.
Erick Garcia is a junior in the Liberal Studies Bilingual/Cross-cultural option with a minor in Psychology. He was born in Yuba City, CA and raised in Gridley. He loves to help and listen to others, is very athletic and enjoys playing soccer. He hopes to be a successful school counselor one day. Erick is here for whomever is in need of help or someone who just wants to sit down and talk
Andrea Hernandez is a Junior in the Liberal Studies Bilingual/Cross-cultural option with a minor in Chicano Studies. She was raised in Oxnard, California, but fell in love with the beauty Chico had to offer. Andrea is an active member and Director of Community Outreach for M.E.Ch.A. and loves to promote higher education to the students in her communities and help motivate the students at the university. She looks forward to becoming an educator and cannot wait to empower her students.
Elizabeth "Eve" Hernandez is a junior in the Liberal Studies Bilingual/Cross-cultural option with a minor in Spanish. She was raised in Brea, CA down in southern Californa. Eve enjoys being involved with her community and loves to stay proactive in all that she does. She is looking forward to becoming an elemntary school teacher and cannot wait to start helping her peers through PALS.
Tiana McFarland is a sophomore in the Integrated Teacher Education Core (ITEC) Program with a major in Liberal Studies and a minor in Special Education. She hopes to one day teach early elementary school children in the inner city. She is enthusiastic and compassionate, loves to play competitive sports and games, and is highly involved with the InterVarsity community.
Jena Rivera is a fourth year senior and will be graduating with a major in Liberal Studies and a minor in Psychology. She was born and raised in Stockton, CA and plans on getting her credential in a new city as part of the adventure of the next big stage of her life. She has spent most of her high school and college career in leadership positions and feels that is where she belongs and where she is at her best.
