Rena Marino

Rena holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communications and Minor Psychology from CSU, Chico. Rena grew up in the SF Bay Area and came to Chico State as a transfer student after attending Butte College.  Before starting her career  at Chico State, Rena was the trainer and office manager for a medical sales recruiting company. She has worked at CSU, Chico campus since 2004.  She began in Regional and Continuing Education and has worked in the Office of the Registrar in Student Records. She has worked in the College of Communication and Education as an academic advisor for Liberal Studies program since 2007. Rena is active in staff governance on campus.  She has been a member of the Chico State Staff Council since 2012.  She is also a proponent and supporter of access and equity for all students and is a graduate of the Chico State Diversity Certificate program. Interested in professional development and leadership, she has recently joined the Faculty Mentor program and is looking forward to helping students feel more connected to the campus and Chico communities. She says the best part of her job is working with students to achieve their personal and academic goals. She enjoys spending time with friends and is on a local amateur bowling team.
