We're confident that this will be a rewarding and convenient way for you to complete your undergraduate liberal studies education. The steps involved in applying to the program are as follows:

1. Do a preliminary self-evaluation of your transcripts by checking the Major requirements and Course Descriptions . Check equivalencies for lower division courses online at www.Assist.org . You can figure out which courses you still need to take at the community college level. When you have approximately two semesters of community college work left, it's time to apply for admission to CSU, Chico. Once you have been accepted to CSU, Chico, you may request a transcript evaluation by one of our advisors. Contact the Liberal Studies ONLINE advisors at lsonadv@csuchico.edu .

2. Before you can begin classes, you must first be officially admitted to CSU, Chico or another CSU campus. If you are currently enrolled in another CSU, you may take some Liberal Studies Online courses from your home campus through a process known as Concurrent Enrollment. However, it is recommended that you transfer to CSU, Chico as soon as possible to streamline the process of completing your program. You can obtain information for transfer students at the Office of Admissions web site.

3. If you wish to apply to CSU, Chico , you must meet the same university admissions requirements and deadlines as on-campus students. It is important to visit the Office of Admissions site for more complete details concerning application deadlines and requirements. Applications must be completed online at CSUMentor.

   IMPORTANT! When you fill out your ONLINE application, be sure to choose LSON as your major. This will indicate to Admissions that you will be taking all or some of your classes via the Internet, and they will properly code your application. Without this coding you will not be able to register in the Internet section of your course.

4. NOTE: If the formal admissions deadline has passed, it may still be possible for you to enroll in a course on a space available basis (see Open University ).
