Integrated Teacher Education Preparation

This option is for students who want to graduate with both a BA Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subjects K-8 teaching credential. It is possible to complete this program in 4 years by taking a minimum of 15 units per semester. EDTE 525 Teaching Practicum I and EDTE 529 Teaching Practicum II require students to student teach in a public school in which they have been placed by the School of Education. Students are advised that during student teaching it is very difficult to hold a part time job. Application to the School of Education Multiple Subjects Credential Program is required. Students are required to attend mandatory advising in the Liberal Studies Program for information related to application and enrollment procedures. After successfully completing these units and student teaching, graduates will hold a BA in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential.

Integrated Teacher Education Program-Multiple Subject

This Integrated/accelerated 4-year degree path leads to a BA in liberal studies and includes a multiple subject credential. Summer courses may be required for transfer students.

Integrated Teacher Education Program-Special Education

This integrated/accelerated 4 1/2-year degree path leads to a BA in liberal studies, multiple subject credential, and an education specialist credential for mild/moderate disabilities. Summer courses are required for all students.
