RECOMMENDED ELECTIVES

The Liberal Studies major contains anywhere from 105 units in the general pre-credential option to 129 units for the liberal studies-child development double major. Regardless of your choice of option you must complete at least 120 units to graduate. Included here are recommended electives that can complete credential prerequisites, prepare you for the CSET and teaching, as well as count towards the 120 units needed to graduate.

  • MATH 398: Math Hands-on-Lab
  • MUSC 326: Music for Children (if not completed within requirements)
  • PSYC 151: Soc-Cult. Context of Psychological Dev. (if not completed within requirements)
  • RECR 448: Methods/Materials for Environmental Education
  • RDGL 557: Lit. for Multicultural World
  • RELS 358: Teaching about Religion in Public Schools (if not completed within requirements)
  • SPED 343: Overview of Special Education**
