Dual Major with Child Development

This is an interdisciplinary major with a focus on how children grow and develop from conception through adolescence. In this pattern, coursework from both liberal studies and child development are blended to create a dual major with fewer total units than required by both majors separately. The dual major integrates supervised field experiences with academic work and provides opportunities to apply principles and best practices in on-campus childcare facilities as well as in K – 8 public school classrooms.
