1. The first time you try to access a restricted
database you should get a login page that prompts you for your username
and password. What user name and password should you enter?

- If you have registered to use the campus portal
- Chico State
Connection:
- use your portal username and password.
- If you do not remember your password:
- If you have not activated your
portal account:

|
|
- Use your Exchange User ID and password.
Your user name (ID) is the first part of your e-mail address (before the @ symbol),
e.g. eknievel@csuchico.edu user's name would be eknievel.
Eknievel's password is whatever he has chosen for his portal,
e-mail or Chico domain login.
- If you need to reset your
password go to the Password Station.
- If you are new Faculty or Staff and
do not have an Exchange account please contact User Services at 898-6000.

2. If
you do not get the login page try a different database. If you
still are not successful:
- Link
to the login page directly. [Note: You cannot link directly
to the login page from on-campus computers or if you are using
the university's modem service.]
- If this succeeds then login
and try to access the databases again.
