Service Policies: Library is open to CH2M Hill personnel

Services: Patron assistance, telephone assistance, mail

reader, and microfilm/microfiche printer. The library does
not loan Reference books; will lend general collection books,
under 6 month imprints, and older titles. The library does
not loan periodicals. Library does provide photocopy service.
A maximum of 10 pages from a book may be copied at .15 per
page. The library bills with materials sent. Library charges
the replacement cost for lost books. The library receives
and sends interlibrary loan requests by phone, mail or UPS.
They require location verification and they reserve items
for ILL. The loan period for ILL items is 2 weeks. The CH2M
Hill Information Center contains approximately 6,500 volumes,
with about 100 volumes being added per year. There is an
on-going weeding system. Engineering selected purchases
are the bulk of the additions with occasional gifts from
retiring engineers. The library subscribes to 15 periodicals.
Some are from professional membership groups. There are
approximately 150 people in the Redding CH2M Hill office,
and there are 22 branch office libraries throughout the
U.S. that cooperate within CH2M Hill with interoffice loans.
Some offices will have collections stronger in one discipline
such as Planning and Economics, while another will be Geologically
or Municipal Industries oriented.

Services: Patron assistance, telephone assistance, mail

with genealogy software programs. The library does not loan
books or periodicals. The library does provide interlibrary
loan service with the main library in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Fees for materials ordered from Salt Lake City are $2.50
for 3 weeks plus .29 postage, $4.00 for 6 months plus .29
for postage, and $6.00 for an indefinite period with no
postage fee. The library charges for damaged materials depending
on the nature of the damage. The library has some genealogy
forms available free and some for purchase.

Service Policies: Library is open to staff, physicians,
and allied health professionals for on-site use only. There
are no use or borrowers' fees. Services: Patron assistance,
interlibrary loan, current awareness, document delivery,
LATCH (literature attached to charts), computer literature
searches, computer graphics, computer generated 35mm color
slides, computer lab work station, audiovisual equipment.
The library does not loan books or periodicals. The library
does provide photocopy service. A maximum of 20 pages of
books and periodicals may be copied free of charge. The
Library receives and sends interlibrary loan requests by
mail, OCLC, DOCLINE, and LONESOME DOC. Interlibrary loan
requests require verification. Mercy Medical Library, Redding,
is a member of the Superior California Health Library Consortium,
a "far northern" network of local and regional libraries
with an emphasis on networking and sharing resources. Other
consortia members are: Shasta College, Shasta County Library,
Mercy Medical Center - Mt. Shasta, Redding Medical Center,
Trinity Hospital, Mayers Memorial Hospital, Redding Specialty
Hospital, and St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

The Redding Medical Center Library contains approximately
140 volumes, with about 3 volumes added per year. 99% of
the volumes are purchased and 1% are gifts. The library
subscribes to approximately 57 periodicals. At present,
there are approximately 300 persons served by the library

Shasta College and Shasta Bible College, allowing their
students full use of Simpson Library Facilities. Members
of local church staffs may receive courtesy cards. The general
public may use materials in the library. The library does
not loan reference books or periodicals. Interlibrary loan
period is 28 days. The Library currently contains 53,000
volumes and subscribes to about 250 periodicals.
