Courtesy Borrowers
The following groups of patrons are entitled to a courtesy card. Patron must complete a courtesy card application including driver's license or DMV identification number and Social Security number.
Classification Verification

Donor Groups:
     President's Club, University Club, Carillon Club, Founder's Club, Century Club

Current membership card
Alumni Association Current membership from any CSU campus
Students pursuing incompletes Letter from VPAA or student's advisor/professor
Cooperating Teacher Current CSU,Chico Cooperating Teacher ID
Spouses/domestic partners of current/
retired/emeritus faculty and staff
Spouse/domestic partner supplemental application
Friends of the Library Current membership card indicating payment of $50.00 or more (Sustaining or Patron)
ANCRR Current membership card at or above the
$50.00 level
Mutual use faculty Faculty ID card from any campus in the CSU or UC systems, or any community college in our service area*
Mutual use retired/emeritus faculty Retired/emeritus faculty ID card from any campus in the CSU system
Mutual use students Currently valid ID card from any campus in the CSU system
Special Permission
Area high school students Permission from school librarian
   
Nonaffiliated Library Users

Patrons residing within our service area* who do not qualify as a courtesy borrower may purchase a Nonaffiliated User(NAU) card for borrowing privileges. See NAU Policy for details.

*Service Area: Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity and Yuba counties.

Note
The Meriam Library is open to patrons from throughout the region. However, only those patrons listed in the categories above may borrow materials with the exception of government documents which may circulate to patrons with a driver's license or DMV identification card. Others are welcome to use materials in the building, with the exception of reserve and some nonprint materials.
