Bibliography of Integrated Curriculum

UNIV. HOME * ReSEARCH STATION * CURRICULUM * SEARCH * FLOOR MAP

INTRODUCTION:
This bibliography is based on the concept of interdisciplinary teaching which brings a broad range of across-the-curriculum subjects into the classroom. Each resource provides activities designed to integrate at least two disciplines, such as social studies with reading/language arts, as well as resources integrating many disciplines, such as art, science, math, and health lessons.
The California state frameworks, such as the Visual and Performing Arts Framework and the History-Social Science Framework, are critical parts of education today. The challenge of integrating the curriculum is proposed in these frameworks. An integrated curriculum opens up a world of possibilities where students are offered opportunities to expand their thinking and make connections between subjects.
The title, author, publication date, and call no. are given for each resource. When the title does not adequately reflect the majority of the subjects contained in the resource, a list of those subjects was compiled and added next to the entry. Series of textbooks, such as state adopted series, are not included in this bibliography.
To determine the grade level of a particular book, look at the 4th line of the call no.:
A = All grades
B = Preschool & Kindergarten
C = Grades 1-6
D = Grades 7 & 8
E = Grades 9-l2
F = Adult
We hope you will find this bibliography useful. Please email Marcia McAndress with your comments and questions. (mmcandress@csuchico.edu)
