The Localization Program offers educational and training opportunities to registered students, non-traditional and part-time students, businesses and executives. Experience the program through our student's perspective. Watch the student produced video.
The Localization Program has five core components:
- Localization and E-Marketing Track:
This Track offers registered CSU Chico students the opportunity to specialize and be trained in the field of Localization and International E-Business by taking 18 credit units in the required courses. On successful completion of the courses students are awarded a “Localization and E-Marketing Scholar Award.”
- Inter-Disciplinary Orientation:
Keeping in view the inter-disciplinary education needed to excel in the Localization field –our program is committed to exploring synergy with other disciplines to provide our students a well-rounded education in localization.
- Industry Collaboration: The goal here is to nurture greater collaboration between the Localization industry and our program.
- Study Abroad:
Students are encouraged to explore the opportunity to spend a semester or summer at Euromed Marseille Ecole De Management, France. Travel Awards of $1000 are available to qualifying students!
- Optional Non-Credit Workshop :
This optional non-credit workshop is a 60 hour course open to students, executives, and non-traditional and part-time students. The course provides rigorous training in Localization through combination of online course work, videos, and 20 hours of on-campus summer instruction. On completion, participants receive a Localization Certification from California State University Chico RCE, GALA and the Localization Institute. The top 5 participants are recognized as Localization Scholars of the year by our Localization Program, College of Business .
