Google Scholar vs. Other Scholarly Databases html
Google Scholar is fast and easy to use and now Find It @ Chico links directly to full-text in CSUC's library databases and online subscriptions. Google Scholar indexes many articles found in the various library databases and consequently is a good place to start your search, but the individual library databases contain much more than what will be found in Scholar. Don't depend on Scholar solely. If you do, you will miss a lot! Also, not all articles found in Scholar fit the criteria for a ‘scholarly article' as defined by professors. Be sure to evaluate each article using this guide to determine if it is scholarly.
