Services

Advising: Academic and personal support, career advising, summer research internships, and graduate school preparation (including advising, GRE prep, assistance with applications, resumes and personal statements). Contact Pablo Suarez via email (psuarez@csuchico.edu) to make an appointment.

Supplies: For Fall 2022, graph paper, lined paper, pencils, calculator batteries, and other supplies are available to local students.

Graduate School Application Assistance: LSAMP students applying to graduate school may apply for financial assistance with graduate school application and GRE test fees.

Bridge to the Doctorate Program: LSAMP students are eligible to apply to the LSAMP Bridge to Doctorate Program. The program provides a two-year graduate fellowship that covers the cost of tuition and fees and provides funds for a stipend, supplies, and travel. Undergraduate Research: Hands-on experience is an ideal way to improve your future career prospects and open the door to graduate school. Contact Pablo Suarez to learn more about research opportunities on campus, as well as off-campus. The LSAMP Student Research Scholars Program will provide funding to students to conduct research with a CSU, Chico faculty member. Awards will be based on a completed application submitted by the student and faculty member to the LSAMP Director.

LSAMP students have an opportunity to participate in international research experiences, currently in Costa Rica, during the summer. For more information click here(opens in new window). This program has been canceled for Summer 2021.

Summer Calculus Boot Camp: Incoming freshmen and continuing students are housed on campus for a three-week intensive math preparation program to prepare for upcoming math courses in the fall semester and receive a $500 stipend and a graphing calculator. The dates for summer 2022 are June 12 - July 1. For more information click here(opens in new window)

Conference Participation: Students may apply to be reimbursed for travel associated with traveling to STEM professional conferences to present their research or to network with professionals or employers in their field. 

Upper Division STEM Textbook Reimbursements: Eligible students can apply to receive financial assistance to purchase required STEM textbooks. Participants will be required to submit a receipt and a copy of the syllabus stating the textbook requirement. Enrollment will be verified.
