Travel

By Air: If you’re flying to Chico, you’ll need to travel via San Francisco. An alternative is to fly to Sacramento and then use the North Valley Shuttle.

By Car: Chico is on Highway 99, which meets the I-5 at Red Bluff to the north and the I-80 at Sacramento to the south. Your best bet is to park at your hotel and walk to campus. To reach the hotels, from Highway 99 take the Highway 32 exit towards Orland (west). This will put you on 8^th street, which passes the hotels near Broadway.

Local Directions: The talks will be in Holt Hall, which is on the CSU, Chico campus. To get there from the hotel, walk north on Broadway, crossing over 1^st Street into the Children’s park (to the right of the church). Continue walking north through the park and then follow the creek to the left. Walk past the amphitheatre that faces onto the creek. Crossing the next bridge over the creek will leave you in front of Holt Hall.

Program

The program begins at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 9 and concludes at 12:20 PM on Sunday, May 11. In addition to the invited speakers, there will be approximately 20 contributed talks in two parallel sessions. You’ll find a complete listing of titles and abstracts here.

Accommodations

We have reserved rooms at the following three motels, which are close to one another. All are easy walking distance to Holt Hall, site of the talks.
