Kate McCarthy

Kate McCarthy's pictureKate McCarthy chairs the Department of Comparative Religion and Humanities and regularly teaches RELS/WMST 275, Women and Religion, for MCGS. Her research focuses on religious identity and interfaith relations, and she is the author of Interfaith Encounters in America (Rutgers University Press, 2007) and co-editor of God in the Details: American Religion in Popular Culture (Routledge, 2010). She also serves on the GSEC Advisory Board and is a founding member of Mobilize Chico, a local progressive activist organization formed after the 2016 election.
