molly heck received her master’s degree in Social Work from CSU, Chico and is pleased to be teaching at her alma mater for the School of Social Work and the Center for Multicultural and Gender Studies. Her areas of interest include: social justice and activist work; the social contributors to the perpetuation of violence against women; service learning and the connection between theory and practice; and leadership and curriculum development specifically regarding LGBTQ and feminist content. She is an advisory board member for Safe Place and for the AS Women's Center and the internship coordinator for MCGS. She experiences the complexities and privileges of working within the borderlands of the Chico State campus and Chico community cultures as a part time lecturer at Chico State and a full time Client and Housing Services Director for Catalyst Domestic Violence Services, a local non-profit agency serving victims of domestic violence.
