Introducing the MESA Staff

Paul Villegas is the Director of the MESA Engineering Program and the MESA Schools Program at CSU, Chico. He is responsible for overseeing the program's direction, budget, industry, partnerships, recruitment planning, grant-writing, and staff management.

Lupe Jimenez is the Associate Director. His duties revolve around retention of students in the MESA Engineering Program, which include, academic advising, student tracking and managing the tutorial program. Lupe also assists with various pre-college activities.

Ben Duarte is also an Outreach Coordinator for the MESA Engineering Program. In addition, he also is responsible for special project planning and special project activities. His other duties include assisting with the pre-college operations and various front office duties, student recruitment and selection efforts, and program database management.
