2b. Differences between the program and programs
listed in Section 2a above.
This collaborative inter-campus program will constitute
the only Modern Jewish Studies major offered in the CSU. It
will be the only program to service students in California
outside the major urban centers. It will also be one of the
first programs in the CSU to actively collaborate in a consortia
program. The undergraduate major will act as a feeder program
for the state's eminent graduate programs. We anticipate that
this innovative and creative growth of our program and the
intellectually stimulating prospect of statewide collaboration
and growth will create a fertile ground for community support.
