4a. Complete Table 1. Enrollment and faculty positions
should be shown for all discipline categories which will increase
because of the new program and for all discipline categories
which will decrease because of the new program.
Since this is a consortium degree, a combined Table 1 would
not provide useful information. All three campuses are expecting
only modest numbers of majors in Modern Jewish Studies (generating
fewer than 10 FTES per campus) within the first five years
of offering the program. With recent additions of faculty
at CSU, Chico and SFSU, no additional FTEF are anticipated,
although faculty from related departments will contribute
to the program. Sources of student majors and contributing
faculty anticipated from each campus are as follows:
CSU, Chico:
Religious Studies, Sociology, History, Political Science.
SDSU:
Religious Studies, Humanities, English, Sociology.
SFSU:
Jewish Studies minor, History, English, Social Work.
