Certificate in Keyboard Pedagogy
Program: The Certificate in Keyboard Pedagogy is for students who wish to specialize in group and/or private keyboard teaching. The program can be completed in two semesters of residency. This program is for the student who already has a degree in music or who wishes to take the program in conjunction with the BA or MA in Music. Candidates with prior private or institutional training and/or teaching experience may apply up to 9 units of transfer credit in lieu of required or elective courses. Students receive both theoretical and practical training in the art of teaching, including ongoing participation through observation, assisting, and teaching in group and studio keyboard settings.
