Mallory Prucha

PruchaMallory Prucha is an Assistant Professor of Costume Design and General Theatre Studies at California State University, Chico. She received her MFA in Costume Design/Technology from the UNL Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film and holds an M.A. in Theatre Arts and a B.A. in Studio Arts from the University of NE-Omaha. She has also worked as Residential Faculty/Costume Shop Coordinator at Mesa Community College, taught at the University of WI-Eau Claire, University of NE-Lincoln and Iowa Western Community College.

She has spent more than a decade working in professional theatre for such companies as as NE Shakespeare, NE Repertory Theatre and the Black Hills Playhouse, Southwest Shakespeare, among others in the capacity of professional Costume Designer, Master Cutter/Draper, Craftsperson, Dramaturg and professional organizational consultant.

Mallory also works as a professional freelance fine artist, published illustrator and sidewalk artist. She has recently illustrated five volumes of poetry for author Dr. Toni Poll-Sorensen, as well as A Primer in Theatre History by Dr. Bill Grange.
