Dan earned his MFA in Scenic Design and Painting from Indiana University (1997) He was the Resident Scenic Designer at the Toledo Repertoire Theatre for two years. Prior to arriving in Chico, he taught scenic design and technical production at Colorado State University for five years. Dan is a member of USITT; he is the past chair of the Rocky Mountain section and actively participates at national conferences. He teaches stage craft, foundations of design, and stage design as well as mentoring students designers and stage managers. Some of Dan's favorite scenic design credits include Jekyll & Hyde, The Cherry Orchard, Drums In The Night , and Love & War.
